Hardware Information
The AMD CPUs, DDR5 memory, and NVMe storage that power every vps.direct VPS.
Hardware Information
Every vps.direct VPS runs on enterprise-grade AMD hardware with DDR5 memory and NVMe storage. You choose between two CPU tiers depending on your workload.
CPU tiers
| Tier | Processor | Boost clock | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | AMD EPYC (Naples / Rome) | up to 3.35 GHz | Everyday workloads, web hosting, databases |
| Premium | AMD Ryzen 7000 / 9000 | up to 5.7 GHz | Game servers, compute-heavy apps, low-latency workloads |
Premium CPUs reach much higher clock speeds, which benefits single-threaded and latency-sensitive workloads like Minecraft. Standard EPYC cores are a cost-effective choice when you need many balanced cores.
Memory and storage
| Component | Detail |
|---|---|
| Memory | DDR5, billed per GB of RAM |
| Storage | NVMe SSD on all plans |
| Storage range | 40 GB → 640 GB, scaling with plan size |
| Disk type | Enterprise NVMe (not SATA SSD) |
NVMe storage gives significantly higher IOPS and lower latency than SATA SSDs, which matters for databases and any disk-intensive workload.
Network
| Feature | Default |
|---|---|
| Port speed | Shared port, typically up to 1 Gbps |
| Bandwidth | Unlimited, subject to fair use |
| Encryption | AES-256 in transit and at rest |
The network port is shared with other virtual servers on the same host. You can burst to the advertised speed when capacity is available, but sustained or abusive traffic may be rate-limited under the fair-use policy.
If you need guaranteed throughput or custom bandwidth commitments, open a support ticket before ordering so we can plan capacity for you.
Plan sizing example (Premium, Warsaw)
| Plan | RAM | vCPU | Storage | Price/mo |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 4 GB | 2 cores | 40 GB NVMe | €12 |
| S | 8 GB | 4 cores | 80 GB NVMe | €18 |
| M | 16 GB | 6 cores | 160 GB NVMe | €32 |
| L | 32 GB | 10 cores | 320 GB NVMe | €64 |
| XL | 64 GB | 12 cores | 640 GB NVMe | €128 |
Standard CPU plans are priced at €1.50/GB RAM; Premium plans at €2.00/GB RAM. Upgrades are immediate and pro-rated. See the Client Area for live pricing and stock per location.
Choosing the right tier
- Game servers (Minecraft, etc.) → Premium. High clock speed matters more than core count for Minecraft's mainly single-threaded tick loop.
- Web hosting / multiple sites → Standard. Balanced cores handle many concurrent requests efficiently.
- Databases → Premium for latency, or Standard when you need more RAM per euro.
- CI/build agents → Premium for faster compile times.
